Experiment with colors by cutting a few pictures out of garden catalogs and rearranging them. One of your first considerations when planning a garden should be bloom time. Bloom time, color and size are among the most common reasons for choosing plants. You may also choose them because of fragrance, texture, or culinary value. Try cool colors with a few sparks of warm colors, or warm colours with a few cool colors. When growing your tulips in containers, avoid placing the container in direct sunshine.
