Perennial tulips are special because, unlike many hybrids, they come back reliably year after year. Experiment with colors by cutting a few pictures out of garden catalogs and rearranging them. You may also mail your order to Breks in the envelope provided with the catalog. Try cool colors with a few sparks of warm colors, or warm colours with a few cool colors. If the sun warms the soil in the container too early, the bulb will send up shoot and flower before an adequate root system has developed.
