One of your first considerations when planning a garden should be bloom time. There are several ways to extend your garden's bloom time. Look for flowers that bloom more than once per year, or choose different cultivars that bloom at different times during the year. Warm colors, such as the reds and yellows of tulips and narcissus, seem to pop toward the front of a landscape, while cool colors, like the hues of purple violets or blue iris, recede into the background. Perennial tulips are special because, unlike many hybrids, they come back reliably year after year. If the sun warms the soil in the container too early, the bulb will send up shoot and flower before an adequate root system has developed.
- The intense, icy blue and gray flowers are striking with long, pointed bracts that radiate out beneath the flower heads.
- Large showy Irises put on a breath taking display with exotic flowers and blue green, sword-like foliage.
- The Non-Stop Begonia Collection will assure you a continuous parade of gorgeous sparkling colour for your garden and planters all summer long- right up to the frosts of fall.
- The large, bold, double blooms of these luscious Dutch Double Daffodils will enhance any outdoor setting in early to mid-spring.
- Radient yellow blooms, accented with shades of red just at the tips, light up the gardena nd bouquets.
