New Generation Roses are available exclusively from Jackson Perkins. Find hardy roses where the surviving roots enable plants to rejuvenate as the same plant variety, rather than the rootstock variety, after a hard freeze. Rose leaves develop in sets of three, five, even seven or nine leaflets. Roses like a good, deep soak to promote deep rooting and they will actually develop drought tolerance if established this way. Each year, between 300,000 and 400,000 seedlings are grown and evaluated at the research facility.
