| The owner of Santa Fe Grille requested
temporary signs at the entrances to town during road construction along
Route 518 in the Borough. The Planning Board had approved the signage.
Although the Planning Board had approved the sips, Mayor Nolan said that
only Borough Council has the authority to approve signs on Borough property.
After discussion, it was decided Dave Staph, Borough Engineer, and
Councilman Pihokken will meet with the owner to choose placement for four
signs. The signs are to go up one week before construction starts and will
be removed two weeks after construction ends. All present voted in favor of
the motion.
Mr. Thomas Roshetar appeared before Council be-cause he feels that pet
owners are not curbing their pets nor cleaning up after them. Pet owners are
advised that the Constables will cite owners who violate the Borough "Pooper
Scooper" Law. Any citizen can call the Constables and sign a complaint form
and the Constable will is- sue a summons to the violator.
The Council noted that the Rocky Hill First Aid Squad went to the World
Trade Center twice to help with rescue.
Ordinance 5-01, to establish mid-block pedestrian cross walks within the
Borough, was passed at first reading.
Mayor Nolan has contacted Congressman Holt con- ceming the Super Fund
site. The Mayor feels we should not pursue the EPA at this time. |
