| An ordinance was introduced to replace the
water main on Merritt Lane and to rehabilitate the road surfaces on

Alan Querec of the Rocky Hill First Aid and Rescue Squad presented the
Squad's need for a new vehicle. The two ambulances, one purchased in 1989
and the other in the 1970's, lack space for some equipment and are old. At
a cost of $56,000, the Squad could purchase a utility rescue vehicle,
which normally sells for over $100,000. Because the Rescue Squad covers
the lower end of Franklin Township as well as Rocky Hill, Mayor Nolan will
talk with Franklin Mayor about their contribution to the cost.
AT&T Wireless agreement was revised in accordance with the
Borough's request and Council voted to approve the agreement.
The tennis courts are in very poor condition and Borough Construction
Official Larry Raffaelli will be closing them. According to Mr. Raffaelli,
there are severe drainage prob- lerns and it could cost over $100,000 to
repair the courts. Council members would like the Recreation Committee to
conduct a survey to determine what the community wants and how many use
the courts.
Revised drawings for the traffic-calming project were presented. No
land will be taken.
The Mayor appointed John Yuchmow to the Grants Sub- committee. Charles
Lewis was named as the substitute Plumbing Inspector.
A plaque certifying Rocky Hill's Village Center designation was
presented. Peggy Harris attended a Community Block Grant meeting and
learned that $1,500 could be available for municipal park
facilities.
A note from the Constable: Residents are asked not to leave weeds and
twigs on sidewalks and in the street. These can block the storm drains. |
